History
The Close to Home Company has been in business since 1995, opening its first business in Ironton, Ohio as an adult group home. Since then, Close to Home has opened six facilities across Ohio.
Our owner
Close to Home is family owned and operated, and always has been. Sharon Hartwig opened the facilities to help elderly community members stay safe and healthy. As a registered nurse and nursing home administrator, Sharon has dedicated her life’s work to ensuring that seniors in her community have the care they need.

The Close to Home company now has five facilities across the state of Ohio, all centered around providing the best care for their residents.
